The Hermit For this portrait, I photographed my friend and collaborator, who works with costume styling and with whom I am developing the tarot project. The image explores The Hermit through the relationship between solitude, self-knowledge, and the act of looking inward. The costume becomes part of the card’s visual language, transforming the portrait into a contemporary interpretation of the archetype rather than a literal representation of the traditional card.
A studio portrait made on a single sheet of Polaroid instant film and kept in The Portrait Archive, an ongoing record of people and neighbourhoods in Stockholm.
